So most of you, dear readers, have already performed due diligence and cast your votes for democracy. Thank you. Here’s just a reminder of why you did, or should…
(Here’s where I originally had a nifty cartoon by Tom Tomorrow (Dan Perkins) that illustrated the irony of voters voting against their best interests. I decided to take it down due to copyright laws but you can find his work here)
Today’s post, however, is about showcasing images from my walk around Silves, Portugal, a historic town that was originally the ancient capital of the Algarve. Enjoy!
And now…
See you on the other side of the midterm elections.
Gary- I've really enjoyed all those photos from your trip to Portugal. My father was stationed there for three years as a US Diplomat in the early seventies while I was in college and I spent summers and winter breaks there. It is such a beautiful country. (By the way, those are not ibis, they are storks. Ibis are smaller and have curved bills. Stork nests are common throughout both Spain and Portugal. They migrate up from Africa.)
Love it all.
