Early last summer I decided to try my hand at making a mosaic portrait. It was to be a random female just to see how compiling the tile parts and such would come out. When the image of the face made an appearance (it’s sorta like working in a darkroom) I thought it had a Mona Lisa look to it. It wasn’t Mona, however, so the idea came to me that this woman must be her unknown sister. Thus, the Lost Sibling Series idea was born.
So far, there are six in the series with more ideas on the table. I thought I’d shamelessly share them with you, in chronological order, today.
Hattie and Otis will soon be on their merry way to rural Kansas and a happy home. I did have one person on Instagram inform me of the real names for those lost siblings (Nan and Byron). Very helpful…
And now…
I love this series!
