“There’s hope yet for these youngsters nowadays…” muttered the old geezer on his duct-taped 2013 Mac laptop (that would be me).
The 19-year-old chair of the Burlington Republican Party, Kolby LaMarche, resigned his leadership position Thursday — and announced he was leaving the party altogether. Said Kolby, “As a result of their fixation on loyalty to narcissistic national leaders and their adoption of a politics of personal revenge, I am disappointed to conclude that it is no longer productive for me to serve the remainder of my term as chair.”
In his letter, LaMarche said the Vermont Republican Party has been “hijacked by far-right extremists” and “rather than doing the hard and necessary work of improving Vermonters’ lives and engaging constructively to move our state forward, they would rather embrace the easy answers of bigotry, divisiveness and destruction.”
Brings a tear to my eye…sniff.

Last April, the Orangeman issued a presidential proclamation titled “Proclamation Suspending Entry of Immigrants Who Present Risk to the U.S. Labor Market During the Economic Recovery Following the COVID-19 Outbreak”, AKA Proclamation 10014.
It stated, among other things, that any immigrant would be barred from entry to the U.S. if; they are outside of the U.S. as of April 23rd, they do not have a valid immigrant visa that is valid on April 23rd, they do not have an official travel document other than a visa that is valid on April 23rd.
The people most impacted are certain family members who are looking to reunify with family living in the U.S. including children of lawful permanent residents, siblings, and parents of U.S. citizens, and religious workers who are living outside of the U.S. looking to come as lawful permanent residents.
On February 24th, President Biden issued his own Proclamation REVOKING Proclamation 10014. BWaahhHaaaaa….

And the best for last:
Alejandro D’Acosta is a sustainable architect based in Baja California who transforms recycled materials into livable art. Breathing new life into stones and garbage, D’Acosta’s sustainable approach to architecture allows him to “draw within the lines of the world,” one design at a time.
This is the kind of work I dream about building but the laws (building codes) of the U.S. make it very difficult to do this kind of work. Check out his Flying House.
Also in Baja is his design for an underground winery built with salvaged boats.
And now it’s time for a moment of philosophy.
Oh oh - I feel mexico fever coming on
