I received a few responses to Friday’s post regarding my Biden Building Campaign (I just made that up!). They were from folks concerned, and rightly so, about Biden’s handling of Israeli relations and the devastation and killings in Gaza. I don’t like it either, especially supplying more weapons to Israel. I’m all for taking the administration to task regarding foreign policy now in the limited capacity we have as regular citizens, but not by using the voting booth in November. Be mad at him. Be mad as hell at him. We’ve been madder with our spouses and other family members and have come out the other side. Make YOUR voice be heard.
I will mention that Jay Kuo, writing this morning in his Substack The Status Kuo, reports that the Israeli paper Haaretz is reporting that a big deadline looms for the Israeli government, imposed by a seldom discussed order by President Biden. “There is a very real chance that the United States will halt the sale of offensive weaponry to Israel by month’s end should it fail to dramatically improve the amount of aid entering Gaza, or if it launches a military operation in Rafah without a credible plan for the million-plus Palestinians sheltering there,” the paper wrote. That chance, according to Talking Points Memo, is due to a “tripwire” built into a national security memorandum that Biden signed in February.
But my point is that the alternative to a Democrat in the White House next year (and taking the House and Senate) is a scenario too much to bear. Read on…
The upcoming election is not just about how you ‘feel’ about Joe Biden or the Orange Fuckleroy. It truly is about whether or not you enjoy the benefits of what the Democrats bring to the table more than the nothingness that Republicans stand for, besides their tax cuts for the wealthy and turd sandwiches for the gullible. This ain’t your Daddy’s, nor your Granddaddy’s, GOP. One party gives a damn about the future of the country while the other wants to destroy democracy and turn us over to white Christian fascists.
Speaking of fascists, Fuckleroy hosted Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán at Mar-a-Lago last week. He thinks Orbán is just swell and gets a bit of a tiny woody as he spouts, “There’s nobody that’s better, smarter or a better leader than Viktor Orbán. He’s fantastic.” And his woody grew another 1/8” when he said that Orbán simply says, “‘This is the way it’s going to be,’ and that’s the end of it, right? He’s the boss and…he’s a great leader, fantastic leader. In Europe and around the world, they respect him.”
Orbán’s takeover of the press, elimination of rival political parties, partisan gerrymandering, capture of the courts, and control of Hungary’s government are not just ideological, though, but also economic. Corruption and the capture of valuable factories and properties for cronies have allowed Orbán and his allies to amass fortunes.
Putting dictators aside, If you’re planning on voting for Fuckleroy, Uncommitted, RFK Jr., Jill Stein, or Alfred E. Neuman over Biden, there will be a rude awakening coming down the pike. Right-wing think tank, The Heritage Foundation, has published a detailed plan for the next Republican president to use the executive branch of the federal government to attack the rights of women, LGBTQ people and the BIPOC community, by eliminating the agencies and offices responsible for enforcing civil rights laws and placing trained right-wing ideologues in staff positions throughout the federal government.
Read this policy agenda and actually weep. Yep, more white males wanting to do away with “the totalitarian cult known today as ‘The Great Awokening.’” Their plan has four goals: 1. Restore the family as the centerpiece of American life and protect our children (family meaning white man and woman with 2.5 kiddos), 2. Dismantle the administrative state and return self-governance to the American people (uhhh, how does that work?), 3. Defend our nation’s sovereignty, borders, and bounty against global threats, 4. Secure our God-given individual rights to live freely—what our Constitution calls “the Blessings of Liberty.” (There’s that God thing again…)
Heritage Foundation president Kevin D. Roberts has written, “The next conservative President must make the institutions of American civil society hard targets for woke culture warriors. This starts with deleting the terms sexual orientation and gender identity (‘SOGI’), diversity, equity, and inclusion (‘DEI’), gender, gender equality, gender equity, gender awareness, gender-sensitive, abortion, reproductive health, reproductive rights, and any other term used to deprive Americans of their First Amendment rights out of every federal rule, agency regulation, contract, grant, regulation, and piece of legislation that exists.“
One of the many hypocrisies is that they describe the “elites” (leftist leaders) as power-hungry socialists: “For socialists, who are almost always well-to-do, socialism is not a means of equalizing outcomes, but a means of accumulating power. They never get around to helping anyone else” while many of the organizations in their coalition are led and funded by billionaire capitalists, most of whom don’t want to pay their fair share of taxes or be limited by labor laws or environmental regulations designed to protect the public from economic abuse, pollution and climate change. The conservatives criticizing the elites are themselves elites.
For you women who are reading this and still UNDECIDED or infatuated with BOBBY, consider that on abortion alone, their manifest states the following:
— Under threat of funding loss, require “liberal states” to report to the CDC, “accurate and reliable statistical data about abortion, abortion survivors, and abortion-related maternal deaths”;
— Require treatment of “fetuses born alive” after abortion;
— Withdraw Medicaid funds for states that require abortion insurance or that discriminate in violation of the Weldon Amendment, which declares that no HHS funding may go to a state or local government that discriminates against pro-life health entities or insurers;
— Audit states for Hyde amendment compliance;
— Require the CDC to track “abortion across various demographic indicators to assess whether certain populations are targeted by abortion providers” (based on false allegations of eugenic motivations);
— Reverse Biden administration support for travel to get abortion health care;
— Prohibit Planned Parenthood from receiving Medicaid funds and allow states to defund Planned Parenthood in their state Medicaid plans;
— Reverse FDA approval of mifepristone or at least go back to the pre-2016 limitation and prohibit the mailing of abortion pills;
— Prohibit stem cell research and stop “the development and testing of the COVID-19 vaccines with aborted fetal cell lines”;
— Affirm “rights of conscience” to deny medical care;
— Declare that abortion and euthanasia are not health care;
— Reverse Biden interpretation of The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) that requires treatment of women miscarrying.
Speaking of BOBBY, the guy takes up valuable oxygen every time he opens his mouth, and he’s primed to take up valuable votes from the gullible that walk amongst us. At least he hobnobs with very fine people, including a few trips on Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet, the “Lolita Express.” “I run into everybody in New York. I mean, I knew Harvey Weinstein. I knew Roger Ailes. I knew … OJ Simpson came to my house. Bill Cosby came to my house,” said RFK in an interview below. Hmmmm…
Not only has his own family rebuked much of what comes out of his gob, he was caught on camera telling fellow diners that “Covid-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and Black people” and “the people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese,” according to a video made public in the New York Post, which also shows him saying the U.S. “put hundreds of millions of dollars into ethnically targeted microbes” and labs in Ukraine collected Russian and Chinese DNA “so we can target people by race.”
He also said he planned to travel to the Mexican border to “try to formulate policies that will seal the border permanently,” called for the federal government to consider the war in Ukraine from the perspective of Russians, and said pharmaceutical drugs were responsible for the rise of mass shootings in America.
And don’t forget the Jill Steins and the Marianne Williamsons who want to start their political careers at the TOP. Those who support these "every-four-years-we-show-up" types aren't serious people. Coalition building in politics starts at the local level, moves on to state level public service, and then to the federal government. The notion that you can start your political career as president of the United States proves that you aren't serious, either. Most importantly, though, is that third party candidates will usually take votes away from Democrats.
Back to the Right’s policy agenda proposals for 2025, in education for the kiddos, check it:
— Eliminate the Department of Education, which enforces civil rights law, including Title IX, which prohibits sex discrimination in education;
— Revert to the Trump administration’s Title IX sexual harassment and assault standards, which placed burdensome restrictions on the ability of survivors to report assault and obtain justice;
— Reverse the Biden administration’s definition of sex under Title IX to include sexual orientation and gender identity, and redefine sex to mean biological sex assigned at birth
— Increase public funding of religious education through expansion of “school choice” policies and give federal funds to states as block grants with no strings attached.
These white males (and some LADIES) are led and funded by multi-billionaires, such as oil moguls Charles and David Koch, conservatives who have fought for years to cut taxes, deregulate business, ban abortion, eliminate civil rights protections as well as public health and environmental regulations, privatize government institutions such as public schools and prisons and eliminate welfare programs such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and food assistance. In 2017, Fuckleroy enacted many of these policies, which were later reversed by the Biden administration.
